The Monte Vista High School Library is a safe and inclusive space where we encourage enthusiastic reading and responsible and skillful use of and creation of information. Last year, thanks to your donations, we purchased over 750 new books. We promote diverse reading material from multiple perspectives and expand the curriculum by working with teachers to provide access to a variety of information and enhanced educational experiences. Our library also sponsors social activities. Your donation directly impacts literacy, college and career readiness, and engaged students; with Future Funds, we are committed to:
- Improving the library collection by adding Young Adult titles, Graphic Novels, and current non-fiction. Our circulation numbers have continued to rise.
- Growing an e-book and online audiobook collection. We are working with the other high school libraries to maximize the availability of books.
- Expanding and maintaining databases for student research across the curriculum. The library works with the different departments to determine their needs for academic research.
- Purchasing games, puzzles, crafts, and other materials for student use.
Thank you for your generous support! Suggested donation $50.
