The Monte Vista High School Library is a safe and inclusive space where we encourage enthusiastic reading and responsible and skillful use of and creation of information. We promote diverse reading material from multiple perspectives and expand the curriculum by working with teachers to provide access to a variety of information and enhanced educational experiences. Students will pursue curiosity-filled and engaged learning, develop a life-long love of reading, and endeavor toward independent, innovative thinking. Your donation directly impacts student literacy and college and career readiness; with Future Funds, we are committed to:
- Improving the library collection by adding Young Adult titles, recent Biographies/Nonfiction narratives, Graphic Novels, and current non-fiction. Our circulation numbers have continued to rise.
- Growing an e-book and online audiobook collection. We are working with the other SRVUSD high school libraries to maximize availability and equity.
- Expanding and maintaining databases for student research across the curriculum. The library works with the different departments to determine their needs for academic research.
Thank you for your support! Suggested donation $40.
