MV’s Academic Enrichment program is a class designed to offer support for students who have demonstrated a need for help. Over the course of the year, students learn a variety of strategies specifically designed to provide teenagers with the skills they need to be successful in high school. They are asked to create and execute executive functioning goals and tasks, communicate with parents and staff, and complete academic tasks. The goal of the course is to provide each student with the tools they need to manage their academics on their own once leaving AE. We receive support from MV counselors, administration, and the Academic Leadership class, who provide us with peer tutoring on a weekly basis.

Any donations go to supporting our AE program and to providing our students with the resources they need to succeed. These may include materials such as extra post-it notes, lined paper, flashcards, highlighters, etc. Extra classroom materials such as these are vital in teaching AE students what it takes to be an organized and successful student.
